Ash-grey Mouse

Ash-grey mouse (Pseudomys albocinereus) The ash-grey mouse is a native rodent, inhabiting areas of low heath and shrubland over much of the south-west of Western Australia. The ash-grey mouse in communal, sheltering during the day in large burrow systems, and foraging at night. It is herbivorous during winter, but will eat arthropods in summer to increase the water content of its diet. This individual was caught in a pit-trap, at a field study site north-east of Southern Cross. Photo by Christine Cooper
